About ba.sh
Bash script URL shortener
ba.sh gives Bash scripts and repository pages a shorter address for README files, setup notes and terminal sessions. It accepts links from the supported developer platforms, so you can point readers to the original source.
Paste the original URL, select Shorten and copy the result. Automatic link creation is free and does not require an account.
Yes. Shorten the GitHub Raw URL that serves the script itself, then use the resulting address, for example curl -sL https://ba.sh/example | bash. Replace example with your actual short URL suffix. Check the source and read the script before running it.
Supported domains
To reduce abuse, ba.sh only shortens URLs on the following domains and their subdomains:
github.com, gitlab.com, githubusercontent.com, huggingface.co, codeberg.org
Other domains are not supported.
Link history
Links you create appear under History on the home page. This list is saved only in your browser. Removing an entry from your history does not disable the short link.
Operated by S.EE
ba.sh is a free service operated by S.EE. S.EE creates the short links and handles redirects to their destinations.
You cannot edit or delete links created here. To create links you can manage and view click statistics for, choose a paid S.EE plan.
Independent service
ba.sh is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, Hugging Face or the GNU project. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
